My younger son morning bus route pooled it. Most of the parents gave between $2-5 and we all in all, collected $75-- which is not a bad bonus for a blue-collar worker who barey speaks English.
If the parents can go in together, it's easier to give a "mechubad" amount.

I’ve never heard of anyone giving $100 tip to a bus driver. We give $15- $30 if it’s a really good driver who waits an extra minute if the child is late or stops a little closer to the house than the official bus stop. If you give $100 to the driver, how much are you giving the rebbe ?

Tipping is always great show of appreciation to someone who is with your kids everyday,

I have never heard of anyone giving more than $20 to a bus driver, feels like you’re trying to drive the rates up. As others have said, I have 10 bus drivers between all the routes. The numbers just don’t make sense, because then the rebbeim and teachers get exponentially more. I truly appreciate my phenomenal drivers, and show it with a smile and good morning, making sure the driver never has to wait, and coffee for the driver on days when I have an extra few minutes. Tips are another way to show appreciation, but the drivers do get paid.

I give my bus driver and bus monitor A LOT. That’s because they treat my son like gold. Busses can be crazy and cruel. I do what I can to protect my son.

I’m the only one in the school with a corner stop for my 3 year old and it’s hard for me I will give anyways because I don’t want to get more attitude from the driver.

I gave my special needs kid private drivers $25 gift card they only have one kid and call and wait they really deserve it.

My husband personally didn't get any tips under $20.
Not so many ppl tipped this year, seems everyone is low on money.
For reference everyone has a house stop so it might be slightly different situation then others.
I also do see that chassidishe places the parents tend to tip more.
