Im a Morah.
I get between $10 and $50.

More than that seems excessive.

Average is $18-$25.

I also get chocolates and donuts and gifts like napkin holders and finger towels.

I prefer cash because it's more flexible.
If you'd rather a gift card then an Amazon card or gift card registry because of its versatility.

I really appreciate everything I'm given. But if I'm being asked what I prefer......

Curious why u wouldn’t just give 40 and no gift

I knew someone would ask. It's a gift that can be used in the playgroup that I knew she'd like.

I gave $40.
For my sons babysitter.
A morah/babysitter is your child "second mom". Everyone needs to give the amount they can afford.
If you can't afford anything at all just write a beautiful note. It's really appreciated.
I wish I could've given more.

I gave $25 to Morah and $20 to each of the two assistants.
The group is big (17 kids) and the Morah charges a lot too
And we’re a kollel family if that makes a difference

I gave $36 to the playgroup morah and $250 for the rebbeim.
Honestly I don’t feel like the playgroup morah needs as much as I’m giving her cash every month that goes directly in her pocket as opposed to the rebbi who’s on a salary.

Playgroup morah here:
Got a book from one, $36 gift card, $25, and a few gave $50.
Not everyone gave a gift ( maybe they will, I DK)
Give what you can afford with a nice ty card!!!
Over the years I've gotten a lot of books, cookbooks, and anywhere between $18 and $150. ($25-50 is average)
(This is more recently. I'm a morah for many years, and in my earlier years parents used to do a group gift like in school and gave $12-15 each. But that means someone has to collect the money!)
