I probably win the space award!

I dont understand how toddler bed helps it is just a temporary solution. That toddler will soon be bigger if I go straight to a 33in or twin size mattress whether it is on a single bed, high riser or bunk bed it is a one time purchase and the child will be permanently placed there until they move out of my home.
How would I have saved space or money with purchasing one or more toddler beds.

Toddler beds unless custom made are never bunk beds. All my tots are on a bunk bed under an older child. Much space saves right there

If you want to fight for an award hows this? A bunk bed and a toddler bed in the room in a L shape and there’s no walking space left. The kids have to enter their beds from various weird angles. For my next kid I probably need to see if I can find a toddler sized bunk bed.
Please don’t tell me “it’s time to move”. No one knows this better than me.

My daughter slept in a toddler bed until she was 7. It was from ikea so possibly longer than a standard toddler bed but maybe not? We didn't have room for a bigger bed in the apartment.

Maybe a twin loft over the toddler bed next? Kid #2 moves there and #3 gets the bottom bunk

I wish. The room isn’t wide enough for a twin bed to sit where the toddler bed is currently.

To answer op question, my kids stay in toddler bed either until they outgrow it, or until I need it for the next kid.

Never. BH we had space for high risers. The kids were in cribs till age 3 IIRC and then graduated to a high riser. Toddler beds are a waste unless you're really really really pressed for space.

I have a average/tall almost 6 year old. I feel bad. I probably should have bought a bunkbed right away. He complained about a year ago for a little. In the summer he slept 4 weeks on a 33" bed and I was preparing myself for the tantrum. He hasn't said a word. I hope to move in about 4 weeks iyh. The first project is a bed iyh.

I don't think age really matters, unless they're like 12 and having friends over and it's an issue socially.
It depends if they're comfortable.
my kids move to the next size bed a month or two before their sibling will need their bed. So if I have a baby in a bassinet, then the kid in the toddler bed moves to a twin size. Then a little later, the kid in the crib moves to the toddler bed. And finally, the baby moves into the crib. I like to space out the transitions so that they don't feel like their bed was taken away.
But I had a older kid (older than toddler age) who didn't want to sleep on top of the bunkbed and anyway slept horizontally on her bed, so she didn't need the space. So no issue with putting her in the toddler bed and the next sibling on the bunkbed.

Toddler beds are at least 50inch in length. Can you put a 29 or 33 in bed or bunk bed in other direction parallel to other bed instead?

My upstairs is an attic with sloped roofs. So no bunk beds.
The toddler bed can be fitted into a narrow space between 2 beds horizontally.
My kids move from there to the basement so I have to wait for a child to be old enough to move to the basement for a bed to open up.
Toddler beds are the perfect solution to allow the kids to stay on the same floor as me as long as possible.

I love toddler beds! I got my first when my oldest was two and I didn't see a reason to clutter the room with a full sized bed (which would have been massive for him), and the toddler bed was so cozy and safe for him.

I live in Israel where room sizes are typically significantly smaller than American room sizes. My kids are pretty close together. I had 4 under 6 (and then some more close in age). At that time I had two in toddler beds and two in cribs in the kids' bedroom. I was happy that each child had his own space, and I could sit on my kids beds and say shema with them individually and not have anyone in a bunkbed. (Personally I am not a fan of bunkbeds at younger ages - plus the orientation of that bedroom was such that we wouldn't be able to open the window if we put a bunkbed in the room.)

My kids typically stayed in their toddler beds until age 6/7 when the next child was ready to move out of their crib, so I had both toddler beds in use for years. My kids are small and of course they only slept in it as long as they could stretch out and sleep comfortably.

No. The room is five feet wide and approximately 7-8 feet long. There isn’t any additional space, trust me.
