I have three children BH. Two teens and a special needs toddler. Chanuka is always super fun in our house. There’s something exciting every night. This year my son is in Israel, so I basically need to think of entertainment for my 15 year old daughter. We have a few parties, and we’re doing “mystery maccabi” one night (Jewish version of secret Santa). Any other ideas to make it fun for one teen girl? It’s hard without her brother home.

Candle making. You can buy wax kits on Amazon. I bought it for my kids but I ended up really having fun with it!

Invite a neighbor/family over- either friends or someone alone
Visit a nursing home with a friend and give out some small gifts
Do a special activity- painting canvas, candle-making, woodworking project, etc
Buy a new game and play- Codenames, Boardle (family game), Would You Rather?
Watch a Yoel Gold video together
Make supper, latkes, donuts, or a special dessert together

I've just done this at a chanukah party I made for a few other single/divorced women.

It would have been enough on it's own, but I also got these to decorate the candles afterwards.

You could use them on plain white candles as a separate activity if you wanted.

We had a great time with it.
