I was so organized and made in advance and froze and now it won’t melt in the pot. The bottom of the pot is burning and the meatballs are staying in one frozen lump in the pot Crying Crying Crying Crying

Put them in a pot of cold water till they defrost and then dump the water and boil them. Counterintuitive but cold or lukewarm water is best.

If it’s in a sauce I freeze in a container and defrost in a pot on a low flame with a bit of water to start it off. If it’s not in a sauce I freeze on a cookie sheet so they don’t all clump together and then combine in a bag after they’re frozen.

For next time, take it out the night before and let it defrost fully. Then just reheat in a pot.

(This is if it's in a sauce.)
