Looking for good ideas for challah toppings.
Also za'tar, do people put in on the challah plain or with other spices?

I’ve rolled the three strands into seeds before braiding for a crunchy taste and different look. Beautiful but have the broom for after the Seuda.
Dried onion, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, pepper, chia seeds, hemp seeds, small amount of sugar. Mix together and sprinkle on. This is loved!!!!
Flax seeds
Poppy
Sesame
Sundried tomatoes diced up small
We don’t do sweet but I’ve seen strudel, sprinkles, chocolate chips, cinnamon sugar.

equal parts sugar and flour. Enough oil to mix into crumbs. Sprinkle on top of challah.
