Trying to understand. Why are bangs such a thing for shaitels. If it was totally a style thing, wouldn’t we see more singles with bangs? Is it because people want a more natural looking Shaitel as opposed to a skin top??

I'm so glad the trend is gone when I got married I was almost the only one without the bangs

yes, its more natural for those who dont wear skin top plus you dont have to worry about it slipping back. it makes me look more dressed without makeup

Some women look better with bangs. Not everyone looks fabulous with a middle part, hair crimped or straight without bangs.

It helps to mask a “wiggy” hairline

Why not bangs? I hate the graduated-length side hair that is always falling into your face and looks like you're growing out bangs that haven't yet caught up with the rest of your hair. They look like they would be pinned back with barrettes if you were seven years old, but barrettes are too juvenile so you do without. JMHO of course.

I have a naturally low hairline; it would be impossible to cover my hair completely without bangs. But I agree, they can be annoying at times.

I have friends with low hairlines. The ones that dont have bangs the shaitel sits too low on the face.

I absolutely love my wig with bangs. No bobby pins necessary. I just brush it out and its ready to wear. I dont even have to sit on the sheitel macher chair. She can wash and set it without me.

What does it mean, those who don't wear skin top? What do you wear?

I love my bangs and I think they look good on me. I do also like that I don’t have to worry about my hairline (I have a widow’s peak).

But I never had bangs when I was single. They are much higher maintenance. On a sheitel I don’t have to style them myself or worry about them growing out.

Plenty of people like the style but hate the upkeep. On a wig it doesn't grow back in and the styling lasts much longer.

On hair, it's annoying to keep it the proper length. Needs cutting every four weeks. Maintenance is too high as compared to other hairstyles.

On sheitel, bangs make the wig low maintenance as compared to other styles. No styling needed. Easy to plop onto your head.

The beauty of each woman buying her own shaitel is each one gets to choose her style. I personally have wigs with bangs and love them. I’ve also had without bangs. Another great thing about shaitels you can change your style so easily. Ftr I have friends who simply do not look good in the middle part no bang look that so many women feel they must wear , and good for my friends they know it and chose bangs .

I look dreadful without bangs on my wigs. Even as a girl I had either bangs (when I was young) or side bangs. I have a high forehead and long face, so not having bangs was too severe looking.

I wear bangs so I don’t have to worry about my sheital slipping and also so the top is covered and you can’t see the edge of my shaitel (I don’t wear lace)

Also my forehead is big

I look much better with bangs. I've been wearing bangs my entire life and I'm in my 50s now. I wear bangs no matter what is "in style" because I like how it looks.

I personally haven't seen many other women with bangs recently.

Because they cover the unnatural looking hairline of the wig?! Simple logic
