You are so disciplined!
Sounds like too few calories
And plateauing will kickstart again
Give it time
Goal: healthy eating and exercise. Weight loss will follow

The smoothies fill me up a alot and keep me going for a while. A muffin and coffee wouldn't do it for me plus I need protein.
Smoothies are brunch
I also have fish or chicken or meat for dinner, a little salad and rice. When I'm lazy I'll have scrambled egg.
I'm actually quite lazy in the kitchen |
That's way too little calories and you're working out a lot. One scrambled egg is 6 g of protein. Aim for 30 g at each meal.

I would put 3 eggs in but I think the eggs are a bit higher then that from what it says on the box. I'll check again. It's hard having the amount of protein I need because of my weight. I can't remember the calculation but you are supposed to multiply a certain amount by your body weight so essentially the heavier you are the more protein you need. That's why I do the protein smoothies because it's the easiest way to get protein in. I'm thinking I might need to make the smoothie smaller so that I allow room for other foods. Or change the way I do the fasting so there's room for breakfast. I just don't like eating breakfast though.
Could having too few calories cause the plateau?

Absolutely. Your body goes into starvation mode, "thinking" there's a famine on, and holds on to every calorie as if your life depended on it--which, in a famine, it would.

You sound very disciplined, I'm very impressed.
I would cut out fruit smoothies entirely. If you don't want to, then put less fruit and include fat free plain yogurt in your smoothies.
Add strength training to your exercise routine. Women don't realize how important it is to lift weights and incorporate resistance in our fitness routine

Yep doing alot of strength training with weights.
Actually the plateau seems to have ended this week and I've started losing again. Yay!

Switch up your fittness to high intensity interval training with special emphasis on building muscle.
Your body needs enough calories inorder to loose weight.
Chat to a dietician and a personal trainer.
You'll get there with the right professional direction

That's only half true. The truth is that if she were eating only 1,000 calories a day, she'd be losing weight, the body can't "hold on" to calories. It can become more efficient, but there are the laws of physics - in order for your heart to keep beating and your brain to function you need probably 1,500-2,000 calories/day for an average person. So eating 1,000/day would guarantee losing weight.
But OP says she is estimating - let her actually count calories and she will find that she's actually consuming the exact amount that she's burning, which is why she isn't losing weight.

The plateau is over though and this week it's suddenly dropping. I think it's catching up now. I hope
