I own super tall heels…. But I never wear any heel because it gives me calf muscle cramps. I’m in my 20s

Curious as spinoof to the men comfort thread....regarding shapewear and heels. Do most women who wear them because were expected to? Like because of beauty standards?
Or because you like how you look / feel in it?

Wow. I just opened the thread. I don't know how it got to spiked heels.
I stopped wearing them years ago so not voting.

I've never worn spike heels or stilettos just regular heels and wedges. I wear wedges a lot and enjoy wearing heels sometimes.

I already never wear them. I'm not destroying my feet just because other women are okay destroying theirs. I only get one pair and I want them to carry me until 120!

Agreed! Amein.

Almost never wear heels and when I do I take them off as soon as I'm seated 😂 my feet are way too flat for this
Interesting, my feet are super flat and I’m more comfortable in heels. It supports my feet better. As a kid wearing flats I used to sob after a wedding, my feet KILLED. Now I actually enjoy dancing.

Heels are amazing for posture. Mine is shot from pregnancies and when I wear heels I’m able to keep my stomach in so my back doesn’t hurt. But then my feet hurt so not sure what’s better.

. There's a difference between high heels and spike heels.

2. I never wore spikes and stopped wearing regular high heels years ago. I couldn't care less what "the majority of women" do. It's my feet and my spine that suffer the consequences of clinging to sadistic, misogynistic shoe design.

I always said I wanted a guy who would rather have a wife who could comfortably go with him on a five-mile Shabbos walk than a fashion plate who could only mince along for a few blocks. And that's what I have, BH.

I’m 23 haven’t worn heels in a longgggg while. Helps that I got married early I definitely wore when dating and engaged. I either wear 1-1.5 inch “heels” or regular shoes and sneakers

Eta there should be an option doesn’t matter I don’t wear heels

Same here. Dh is way taller than me and the heels won’t make a difference anyway so why torture myself? I’m in my thirties and haven’t worn heels in years.

I voted other before I don't own heels.
You should add that option.

Im a heels for life girl!

Spikes, 5”, heels, wedges, platforms, I love how my legs look in them my posture is so much better I feel sxier (I have long legs so it helps).

Personally flat shoes give me back aches. I need some sort of lift.

When I’m pregnant heels literally keep me balanced. And I know it sounds crazy but that’s me.

I wear them to add height because I’m short. If I were average height, I would never wear them. I kind of feel bad for short men because they don’t have this option.

I don't own anything more than a 2inch heel, and even that is pushing it. I enjoy the confidence I have while wearing them, but I can't walk properly in them and I'm always nervous about tripping. Also DH is my height so I don't feel a "need" to wear them. I currently own a pair of kitten heels for weddings and a pair of heeled boots for winter occasions that need more than a snow boot, but neither pair gets much wear.

I love wearing heels! Makes me feel so pretty. I don't even think about the discomfort. I'm 5'6 so really wouldn't need it but I wear up to 4 inches! Love the feel of towering above everyone.
If it's an all nighter I can pop an Advil before the night starts and I'm good to go

I literally can’t walk in heels. I wore heels for a simcha with a block heel—ONCE. They suck. Life is hard enough without optional pain. Bye bye never want to see u again, burn in hell.
