I am not a legal company. Just self employed part time services. Making about 30k.
How do I do taxes?
Yes I know I can pay someone to help me. We always do taxes ourself and dh wants to keep doing that if possible.

I use hr block self employed plan. It's much cheaper to use tax software than to use an accountant.

It's very simple, when you file your taxes you add on schedule C. You may also be required to pay quarterly self employment taxes.

I would advise you to ask a professional and not an online forum. I understand you don't want to pay a professional to do it but it is very serious not to pay taxes properly and not knowing is not an excuse.
So I would recommend that you speak to a professional once, or somebody who is very experienced in filing their own taxes because they have their own business.

It’s pretty straightforward through any of these online tax programs. And your income bracket is often free or very cheap to file. They walk you through it step by step.

If you have a few kids, it could be you won’t owe too much. Just social security tax.

If it’s not an Llc just make a profit and loss statement and fill out a scedule c. I did it myself. Just be careful not to take off too much home office or an huge expense in one category it can get flagged.

You can put a LLC on schedule C as well.
