In order to pay tuition we are going to have to sell some stocks and the capital gains tax will be very significant. Curious is their is any legal way and/or tax plan strategy to help minimize or defer this capital gains tax if the stock sale is being used soley for the education of our children and will be going directly to an eductaional institution.
NY state in case applicable
