A picture wouldn't bother me half as much as that s-xual video. This is not about it being 2 women per se. Why is there a sensual half naked "couple" dance on a clothing website?
I can't imagine we are the only ones finding this horribly inappropriate.

Unfortunately no one is immune to anything anymore these days. We can try to protect our kids, but the world has sure gone mad.

I always wonder how parents are comfortable when their teens go mall shopping without a present adult.

Is it just me?

Nope. Our local mall (close to frum areas) used to show a "Victoria's Secret" fashion show on a video screen OUTSIDE the store. I was so mad.

Thanks for the validation. I was thinking I'd be told I'm over reacting here. I'm seriously considering putting the filter setting that blocks skin color for my kids but my daughter would hate that! She shops many Jewish sites too. That would ruin the experience. She's only 14 and very sheltered. Gonna just suggests other stores for now, luckily she's not a big h&m fan anyway.

I think we all should email a complaint. Think it would do anything??

Haven't seen the website and don't intend on checking but AI says you can report inappropriate websites. I don't think reporting to h&m themselves is actually beneficial

It's not pron. So theyre not doing anything illegal. If enough people complain maybe theyll take it down.

I can confirm that the skin filter doesn’t block videos. My filter does block all the lingerie or bathing suit pages for any website. So I can shop clothing at GAP, but not swim suits etc.

Too many kids around now, but maybe I’ll check the H&M website tonight to see if the filter allows the video through.
I’m hoping it doesn’t, but I might have to adjust settings 😩. It generally doesn’t allow videos to play, but then again, I allowed specific shopping websites.

Black people are actually brown, which is in the range of skin colors blocked by the filter. Black people and white people in a black and white image are shades of gray, which is not blocked by the filter.

The problem with the image filter only blocking skin colors is both that it doesn't pick up on black and white images, and that if it's only set to block the skin part of the picture (rather than detecting that the picture is inappropriate and blocking the whole thing) it would still show the lingerie even if it doesn't show the people. Especially if the lingerie is of the less revealing type.

This isn't the typical type of inappropriate clothing picture. Lingerie pictures are normal for the women's section of the site, which is the default landing page, but there's a difference between normal lingerie modeling and this "high art" provocative nonsense that H&M is doing.

There's more to the story.

The picture on the men's page isn't the same kind of provocative but it's also off putting:
Hidden:

The one on the kids' page is more normal, but it's also kind of weird?
Hidden:

Their Holiday 2024 theme seems to be the facile "if it's provocative then it's art" kind of photography.

For example, here's one of the women's pictures (this one depicting a women in a short leather dress with a woman in leather pants and shirt) not on the main page but on the Holiday 2024 page:
Hidden:

Though the ones I didn't include are worse, which is why I left them out, none of it is [filthy], and to be honest, what I find truly offensive about it is that this is what some people consider art in 2024. Taking weird black and white pictures doesn't make you a Mapplethorpe. We're done with that stuff. You're not making a statement, you're just being annoying.

You can use techloq filter so you can shop without skin images and unblock only specific links of clothign you open. Then you can shop online without the fear of seeing such grossness
