The 2kg bag are versatile. Can be used for cooking, frying, roasting etc.
The 4 in a bag are specifically for baking.

I used them 2 weeks ago to make a large batch of kugel and they were great.

tried this week the pack of 4.

really really not good.

it didnt even brown properly as it usually does on top.
stayed pale.

one of my signs that the potatoes are out of season.

I bought 2 packs yesterday. I'll be making them after shabbos (still have one more for this shabbos in freezer) and will update here how it came out.

Updating that the 4 pack Albert Bartlett Butter Gold is currently not upto its usual standard. The taste is very mediocre at best, instead of absolutely delicious. Though, my kugel browned well as usual.

I just used the potatoes from carmel (I think 5kg in net bag), browned nicely and tasted delicious.
