Tw: rape, s-xual abuse
Can someone help me understand how they let this go on for so long and on such a large scale and basically nothing was done?
If they waited for the girls after school why didn't they have armed security taking the girls home every single day???
So horrifying to think about it.

This has been going on for years if not decades, unfortunately. I read a horrifying report at least ten years ago; by then the gangs were already operating in Bradford and another heavily Muslim city, don’t remember the name. Police were complicit.

In many British towns grooming gangs mostly of Pakistani origin raped and abused young girls for years. There were over a thousand victims, possibly even thousands. Police didn't take it seriously, I think mostly because it would be seen as racist.
You can see the link below with more info about the report.

The crimes they committed against these girls are so heinous, you can’t hear about them without feeling like vomiting.
Islam is such a blight on our world. It’s terrifying.

I used to teach classrooms full of little muslim children in the UK. Pakistani, Somali, Bangla. This is truly heartbreaking. There have been times that England has ben shaken up and then gone to extremes to try and prevent horrible things happening again. After those two little girls were murdered in Soham, some schools were late to open, as all staff needed police checks. After poor Victoria Climbie, I think some sort of social services building were established on many school campuses. The authorities will do something to try and prevent this happening again... until the next thing happens. It is hard to control rasha'im and prevent them from wreaking havoc on the world.

The gangs to which OP is referring are (I believe) older men and they specifically target non-Muslim girls.

The more details I read the more horrifying it is.
- When a child in Bradford "married" her abuser in a traditional Islamic wedding, her social worker attended the ceremony.
The council then arranged for the girl to be fostered by his parents.
- Police had gone around to the house, they found this 13-year-old girl with another young girl, she was almost completely naked, she was blind drunk, and she was with 7 adult Pakistani men, she was drunk and leery. Police arrested the 13yo girl for being drunk and disorderly. And not the men.
-Parents who attempted to rescue their children were arrested when the police arrived
Can't wrap my head around how there weren't mass riots and how complicit the authorities were.

"Suicidal empathy."
What was going on in Rotherham and other British cities has been well-known for years, and it's sad there are so many people unfamiliar with the stories.
That Pakastani gangs grooming, raping, and abusing young girls is only half the story. The other half is that authorities at all levels avoided arresting or even investigating the perpetrators lest they be accused of racism or xenophobia. This was not simply a decision made by individual police or child welfare workers; it was an explicit top-down policy.
The scandal also displays Britain's lingering issues with class. "Class" is to Britain what race is to the US. The girls being raped and exploited were "working class," and therefore considered more likely to be promiscuous. One authority, when encountering a 15-year-old girl forced into s-x slavery, claimed she'd made a "lifestyle choice to become a harlot." Pretty clever, given Britain's age of consent is 16!
In contrast to abettment by police, social workers, and judges, Britain responded dramatically to anyone publicizing the situation early on. The Rotherham gangs were what inspired Tommy Robinson, who is now in solitary confinement for contempt of court. People were warned and even arrested for social media posts.
There is zero evidence that similar exploitation isn't still continuing. But by all means, don't be xenophobic!

Same as anywhere else: identifying girls from troubled families or just families where the parent(s) work long hours and aren't constantly supervising their young teenagers.
Then the predators come with gifts and claims of love. Or they promise a life of wealth and excitement. Whatever it takes to rope a particular girl in. And once she's in, she's threatened with death if she leaves.

Absolutely horrific. I couldn't get to the end of that video.
I can't say I'm surprised but I am so horrified.
