I meant more like what TYPE of food is served each day of the week. That alone would be helpful for me. And probably kids too - to know what type of food to expect that night.

Sundays are a mix but we tend to alternate meat and dairy
Monday is pareve or light dairy
Tues and Wed are always meat
Thursday is Dairy
Then I plug in dishes for each night. It depends on what I bought on sale and froze, what my week looks like but having the categories really helps.

Write up a master list of all the types of foods your family likes. Then each week write up a many living one from each category
So we have
Sunday - leftovers or takeout
Monday-chicken: schnitzel potatoes and roasted veg like string beans or cauliflower or laffa schnitzel wraps, schnitzel sandwiches ect
Tuesday- meat: bbq, meatballs, meat stew or yeminite soup
Wednesday- dairy: pasta, homemade pizza, calzones, mini pizza ect with a soup and roasted vegetables
Thursday- generally have soup from Shabbos and Shabbos food

Something else to consider is what's going on each day. Wednesday is my carpool day and I come home with the kids and I'm not starting to make a whole meal, so that's my fries and fish sticks supper day. Monday I finish work earlier and have a little time at home so I usually do something that is more work, often meatballs and rice.
