Chol hamoed. Enjoyed sleeping in so anything that needs much daytime is out. Yesterday we did board games and chilling at home. The weather is nice but we need a little more structure than just go out and walk through a park wondering what we're doing there. None of us are very sporty.

None of our local family is available to visit. We checked in with friends, nobody is available to get together.

I could spend a little but the less the better, I'm really pinched right now and just saying this because I realize it might just be necessary.

Personally I'm located within access to NY 5 boros and Long Island. But I'll take general ideas that could be applied anywhere.

Forgot to mention there are only 2 teens and one slightly boring middle aged mom so anything that really needs a group to get into isn't going to work. No team games etc

Thanks but also we need something to do. Walk around and look at the nice but overall normal scenery is not going to leave any of us feeling like we did a thing.

Roosevelt island chairlift
There are museums that are free or by donation. I remember taking the ferry to the police museum and it didn't cost much.

Yesterday we went to the beach. It was beautiful and so relaxing. We walked along the boardwalk and stayed till sunset with was gorgeous. There was a teen and younger kids, so the teen waded with the younger kids. She also enjoyed taking pictures.

Historic Richmond Town. But do NOT go unless you call and check ahead that they are having tours. It's boring without that.

Escape the room in a box. It's not free but less than tolls to half these places.

They're only an hour long but the extra pressure makes I feel longer. Also if you go to a store together to buy one then that expands the trip.

Dave & Busters is on sale on Groupon.

They’re half off on Wednesdays which means the games are half priced not the price.

Groupon states specifically that it is not valid with half priced Wednesdays
