My butcher told me to go with the boneless imported flanken roast. Anyone tried it this way and can weigh in ?

Thank you! I’m specifically asking about boneless and imported. Have you tried that

I do it with boneless cause it’s cheaper

Does it get soft? And taste good? Or should I just stick with regular briskets?

Have you tried imported meat vs American?

Yes it gets very soft
I just bought one from Bingo
I think it’s imported
It doesn’t slice as nice a brisket
But tastes really good

I’m making a brisket and flanken roast those are on the sweeter options
And then 2 more savory roasts

Thanks. Do you ever by American beef (brisket or anything) to be able to compare the taste?

I buy imported boneless flanken often. As long as you could it low and slow with sufficient liquid you will not notice the difference vs American

Sorry to clarify I meant this imported meat vs other American meats

Can your family tell the difference?

There's American meat like grow and behold, and then there's the rest. We can tell the difference, grow and behold is amazing, even their chickens are so much tastier. But there's nothing wrong with imported meat that's cooked right, which is what we get most of the time.
