HI! Im looking to get new sourdough bowls, ive had these thick plastic salad bowls until now with the covers which I enjoyed a lot but theyre cracking on me...
Any suggestions for 3 qt. glass bowls or flexible thick plastic that wont break and washes well? I want it to have a thin rim to hold the cloth in place and I want them to stack one in the other.
for reference these are the ones I had until now

Why not get proper banneton bowls?
Or are you talking about the mixing bowl / where the dough rests?

I use the large deli containers like to store soup.
And I cover with disposable shower caps. They stay on really well.
I use 86 oz for single recipe and 168 oz when I double
They withstand weekly washing many times and are easy and inexpensive to replace when they crack.

I just use a large mixing bowl that I use for other baking when I don't want to shlep out my mixer. And I cover with a clean dish towel. After rising, I put into a banneton and cover with plastic wrap before placing in fridge to proof.
