Hi, I usually make my compotes by putting the apples on a very low flame for a long long time - and then I blend it. (no sugar added, but it's sweet and delicious.)
I want to do the same with some peaches. do I need to peel the peaches, or would the peels become soft enough to blend??

The peels become soft and slip off easily.

I don't peel them, but I don't peel.applez for compote either. I also don't blend it - just stir it around with a spoon, and it all falls into little pieces. The peels add some more textural interest, which I like. Your children might complain. Wink
