For those who don't use vinager or lemon juice on rosh hashona, do you still use mayo, since it contains vinager??

my father once asked a shaila, not about mayo in particular but in general a lot of items have vinegar in it. (btw we did use lemon juice). The Rav said (if I remember correctly) that the idea was not to eat sour things, that taste sour as well. Mayonaise does not taste sour.

We don't use vinegar, but do use mayonnaise.
(Or rather, didn't growing up. Have to ask mil what she does! Forgot from last year... )
