My 6 month old will only sleep when holding my finger.
Will tantrum and cry when not holding it.

Nuby banana toothbrush? My kids all used pacis at that age and clutched extra ones in their hands to sleep.

I would try to introduce a substitute while still giving your baby your finger and slowly give it less. Something that would be socially ok for the next few years. Haven't had a baby in a while so not sure if that would be a small blanket, stuffed animal or whatnot.

This is a learned behavior and I feel like giving the baby something instead to soothe her will take the place and do the job of calming and making baby feel safe. There are a lot of good ideas posted above, I would just add maybe place a small hanky/blanket to hold ...

A piece of mom's clothing, headscarf for example. Baby should associate it with you. Don't wash it, it needs to have mother's smell on it. This might work
