My baby is 8 months old.

I started solids at around six months.

After trial and error we found what he liked.

I gave him two meals a day usually cereal for lunch and chicken with vegetables for dinner.

Then he started refusing the chicken and vegetables he always ate so nicely.

Maybe his tastebuds changed so I switched up.

Now he is refusing his cereal, which he always ate so nicely and knew I could rely on.

The past few days he's not eating much solids.

Any advice?

I had this with my son just be persistent and keep offering variety of foods. Under a year formula/breastmilk is all they really need. Now my son is 17 months and loves food!

Also babies get sick of things im careful to not give the same thing all the time. The more variety the better. Its all about exposure at this age not so much if they actually eat.

Try offering more variety. Also let him self feed if you're not already. Solidstarts.com is a really good resource for how to serve many different kinds of foods to babies.

P.S. at this age I wouldn't be drawing any conclusions about "what he likes." That is still so subject to change and we want kids eating a wide variety of foods! Even if he doesn't eat something the first time you serve it, keep offering it. It can take even 10-12 times. Don't give up on foods so easily.
