Against my will. I sadly watch the negative effects on my dh and kids. I'm aware. I read books. I want to do better. I promise myself just today I'll be super careful. I take courses. I cry while listening in. I pity my family. I guess I grew up this way and it's so natural to me. I cannot control myself. It's been much worse lately since I'm not in a good place. I remember seeing a title of a thread something like I'm broke and in breaking my kids. I so relate. I so badly want to change. But when they pull down my skirt, fight, don't listen, ignore, tease, I just lose it. I feel horrible about it. Watch the effects on their behavior. Wish I wasn't like that but I'm afraid in giving up. Any hope?

Have you ever tried therapy? This is a very common issue that ppl come into therapy for. There are many different modalities and ways to address it. Whenever I am skiing worse emotionally it affects my kids.

I recently started therapy. I brought up something like this and she said something like walking away or similar and if it happened that you yelled to apologize. Doesn't help me much.

You can let her know that you would like to work on not getting so triggered in the first place and see what she says.
