Until what age would you feel comfortable having your kids swim with like a random older man or woman who happen to be using the pool? Ty

None? Who goes swimming with random old people of opposite genders and why are they in the pool at the same time as each other?

If everyone is tznius I'd go all the fam
If everyone is covered maybe not teen boys but kids and me
If people in bathing suit I'd go in tznius suit unless they're in monokini and I'd go alone

Obviously depends on the circumstance. My mother goes mixed swimming at the YMCA. She wouldn’t go on a pesach program with friends

Read this, it's not as simple and there's leeway here.

I was told that in a water park I can go on all slides and attractions that did not include going into a body of water with the opposite gender.
I was told going into the water at the beach is assur

Women and Girls wear tznius swimsuits with longer leggings so even if it rides up we are covered. Beach, pools, and waterparks.

Boys until bar mitzvah. After that, they dont go mixed swimming.

This is pretty standard where I live but yeah there are always stricter and more lenient opinions.

Can you explain this logic to me. If you hold leggings is enough covering why wear longer skirts and if you don't why is it ok now. I genuinely don't understand it for over bas mitzvah girls but would love to Wink

I was told by my pretty Makpid rov in lakewood that mixed swimming, water parks are all assur for girls (I think 9+?) even if girl is dressed tznius. But he says beach for girls is ok as each person is kind of doing their own thing. Not sure how to explain but this is what I was told. And yes I was shocked about the water parks! And it was a hard thing to stop going.

There is a difference between a pool and beach. Reb Moisha paskened that a closed body of water like a pool is like your are touching anyone in the pool. An ocean is different. That is why going into a pool in your swim dress doesn't help if there is a man in the pool.

I am personally acquainted with a heimish 85-year-old lady who goes swimming for exercise in a normal bathing suit. She does not care what anyone thinks lol, she survived Siberia Smile

Some rabbi's pasken that if one must go swimming for health reasons, and there's no separate swimming pool available, they may go mixed swimming. But not for pleasure, only for health reasons.

A pool I know, a beach if you're far from the next person is a problem?

How is this relevant? Going on vacation to a resort does not fall in this category. Which is what op is asking about. That’s leisure swimming for fun. Being that so many frum people have pools that they rent out nowadays I can’t see this ever being the only option anyway.
