Ideas for bday gift for my husband? All men’s gift guides have alcohol, sports, travel, or clothes/accessories. He doesn’t like any of that.
Any unique gift ideas that arent the above? He’s very nerdy vibes. Likes games..

Best gift would be not to call him needy rather “unique” or quirky or brilliant or exceptional and extraordinary

In the secular world, nerdy just means that’s he’s a little more geeky. It describes his interests.
In the frum world, we’ve co-opted the word to mean nebby, but that’s not its actual meaning. I do not believe OP was being derogatory towards her husband

Sorry to be pedantic, but we didn't co-opt the word. It used to be a derogatory word in the secular world too. It only started meaning someone smart, geeky, and unique more recently. The frum world just retained the original meaning- we didn't co-opt it.

There are some really cool watches that nerds love. What is your price range?

Her term seved it purpose. Nobody thought she was looking for an out of style tie (derogotory angle). Everyone undeestood op wanted some interesting intellectual non fashion item.
Unique , quirky, even brilliant would not hsve conveyed thst.

My city has a board game cafe where you pay to sit and play board games. All around you are other people at tables playing games. Definitely a nerd/hipster vibe and lots of fun!
Pinball parlor? Retro arcade?
