A family member is about to celebrate a special birthday. He is also juggling a huge amount of responsibilities with a seriously ill relative whose disease has caused extreme personality shifts. He is really suffering and I want a gift that lets him know how much we love him. He is a very giving and non materialistic person and just loves yiddishkeit. I would appreciate any thoughts for a meaningful gift.

Does the gift needs to be specifically Jewish, or would any men's gift be acceptable? Perhaps a heartfelt letter paired with a nice watch?
