How is this appropriate to post?? You should ashamed of yourself for shaming an entire family. (I’m not part of that family and I only have a vague idea of what you’re talking about, it doesn’t smell right)

BT here. This quote that you were just posted is such a bomb to my soul, reading this and feeling actually kind of down.
A number of years ago I posted on here that I was so happy when I learned that a number generations ago I had a great grandmother and great great grandfather who were frum, and one of the amazing women on here told me that my great great grandmother used to light Shabbos candles and daven for me.
If anyone else is reading this thread and feeling like the lone branch on a seemingly barren tree, let’s be mechazek each other. Someone davened for us and our return is bringing them great nachas.

He was my great grandmas ( Chaya Mattel that I’ve posted about upthread) uncle…and she was raised by him….

What a small world! I have a cousin Chaya Mattel, I think it’s the one that posted upthread. He was my grandmothers great grandfather.
