Do you or don’t you gift the people who watch your kids overnight, for a weekend, a week or 2 weeks etc. I’m talking about for going on Vacation or having a baby. If you gift what do you gift?

I try to gift something that they need for the house.
For example, new kitchen towels
It's generally my sisters or my mom so I know their taste etc.
I've heard of someone giving a gift card to a nice restaurant.

I think it also depends on whether there’s reciprocity, and if they gifted you. For example, if my sister watched my kids, and I watched hers, and then she gave me an $100 gift card to restaurants, I would be very embarrassed as I want her to watch mine again (I’m happy to watch hers in the future too) and maybe I don’t have $100 to give her back.
If it’s my mother, B”H, they don’t need my money, or favors from me, but I am always careful to make sure to invite them for random Shabboses and YT so they are not alone, and be very mindful and respectful of them and maybe I would give them a little some thing, but probably not, but I might send them flowers for YT if I was by my in-laws.
If it was my friends, who never asked anything of me, it would most certainly be very appropriate to give them very generously and show hakarat hatov.
I don’t think there’s one right answer
