Before I got married, I used to spend all my vacation days touring places rich with Jewish history.
I also read a lot of historical fiction.
But it doesn't compare to chemistry!!
sorry I lost you, I thought I was a good teacher |
That’s cool! Where did you go? What’s your favorite time period?
I’m sure you’re an amazing teacher but I don’t do math no chemistry no matter how good you are.

Bravest thing I ever did, that's a tough one. Recently I had to call a friend and tell them I lost the $ they had given me to pay someone. I was really embarrassed. I did replace the $ of course. |
I leave my house multiple times per day. Today, I got lucky! Only went out for carpool once in the morning. Blessed to work from home.
That’s very brave of you! I’d honestly just replace it and they never know 👿

If you were forced to go back in time, say 100 years ago or more, but you were able to choose a time period, what era would you choose?

Is it raining today there?
How were your summer holidays? Which part of Europe did you grace?

I couldn't do that because I didn't know how much $ was in the envelope.

The time of the early melachim. Not when everything was hunky dory under shlomo hamelech but one of the earlier kings when the kingdoms were split and they had the beis hamikdosh. I've definitely watched/read to many period pieces about monarchy (thank you Bridgerton), so I'd love to see how that looked in the Jewish world. Obviously I'd like an inside scoop of the palace, not some village view 😂
Full disclosure - I've totally been thinking of this time period for a Jewish novel. Ive never written anything and probably never will.. But totally have some subplots already.. too bad I don't have a main plot lol

Nope no rain today bh, the men could finish off the sukkahs this week quiet calmly.
Summer was amazing and difficult having all kids home for five weeks is not for the faint of heart.
I dont belong in Europe I am English .
I live in London

Ooh that would be cool! Do write it and I’ll be the first one to read it!
You do know that, while highly entertaining, Bridgerton is soooo historically inaccurate it’s sad.

No, my dear I’m afraid you misunderstood me. I wouldn’t insinuate that you are anything, but a true British gentlewoman. I was merely asking if you spent any of your summer in Europe, as many of the English are prone to do during the summer month of August. It is most British indeed.

Well I feel like we don't know enough about the day to day of that time period (what did they wear, what were daughters of the king busy with - chesed, learning, primping?, how were royal matches made, what were the kings soldiers like aside from fighting our enemies, what were the servants like were they Jewish or non jews, what were regular people busy with - jobs, learning, child rearing... Etc etc...) So it would probably also be mostly made up if this book ever came to be (artistic license 😉)

I'm British and I don't know anyone who goes to Europe for the summer.
