Well I feel like we don't know enough about the day to day of that time period (what did they wear, what were daughters of the king busy with - chesed, learning, primping?, how were royal matches made, what were the kings soldiers like aside from fighting our enemies, what were the servants like were they Jewish or non jews, what were regular people busy with - jobs, learning, child rearing... Etc etc...) So it would probably also be mostly made up if this book ever came to be (artistic license 😉)

Would still be an amazing read!

I'm British and I don't know anyone who goes to Europe for the summer.

Driving in your Previa stuffed with enough kosher food for an army across the boarder to Paris Disney doesn’t count? Or going to Wales or Scotland (ok that’s GB) to a family camp or such? Come on… Who do you know that stays home for the summer holidays? Oh, the horror!!!

No, my dear I’m afraid you misunderstood me. I wouldn’t insinuate that you are anything, but a true British gentlewoman. I was merely asking if you spent any of your summer in Europe, as many of the English are prone to do during the summer month of August. It is most British indeed.

I must humbly apologise for misreading your question TMI.
We went to Romania( Remain here :wink) Thats a very funny English joke the kids say when they stay in London.
For the other British woman asking, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Italy are packed with English people in the holidays.

I HATE when people chew with their mouths open. For real.

I don't know if I have so many fears...

Maybe my fear that chas veshalom something would happen to me and what would happen to my family if I weren't there chas veshalom..
And yes, obviously I've had trauma, but I won't out myself and tell you what it was.

Just my husband! And I’m glad too because I hated going on dates.

My worst date was probably when I spilled some food I was eating during the date. I was mortified but my husband wasn’t fazed.

Yes, dear.

What was the kindest someone ever told you?

Little tough to explain but I’ll try

“What’s the worst the could happen? You won’t have done what you said you’d do, you’ll apologize, everyone will understand, and life will move on”

I have a history of taking on people’s problems. If you complain to me about something, I will take it as a personal cry for help and will bend over backwards to help you out. If you asked me for a favor, I would never say no.
I was asked to make bagels for a family Chanukah party. I obviously didn’t say no even though I was asked pretty last minute and had a lot going on that day. I had extremely bad anxiety at the time which was only exacerbated by an having an unnecessarily large workload.
The bagels had to be ready by a specific time. As the time got closer and closer, my anxiety got worse and worse.
When it was the time that the bagels should have been done I had a complete meltdown since they weren’t ready. I was so hyper focused that they need to be ready by x time that it felt like the world ends once I passed the deadl. I burst into tears and just sank to the floor and probably freaked out my niece and nephew whom I was babysitting. It was a really low moment for mental health wise. I felt that anxiety was my life now and I would never be able to accomplish all the things I used to.
I called my husband, sobbing. He b”h is extremely rational (unlike me) and calmed me down by saying the above statement. It might sound stupid and “duh!” to everyone else but it was mind blowing to me. I got so bogged down by deadlines that I never stopped to think “what’s the worst that could happen?” And realize that the worst case scenario isn’t actually that bad.
It was extremely crucial for me and really helped me learn to deal with my anxiety.
I’ve b”h come so far since.
