I'm in the market for a new oven. What does everyone recommend? Does a $5,000 oven make that much of a difference than $700 oven ? I'm willing to spend, but would prefer mid range pricing, closer to $2,000.
Would love to hear everyone's experience.

I just bought a $7k wolf oven after having an old kenmore.
The finish inside is way easier to clean.
THe temp is very precise.
The rack slide out on a roller.
It supposedly lasts forever.
It’s super pretty

Does it cook your food better? Do you see a huge difference between the two? My heart is set on a viking or wolf but my husband just can't imagine what's so special about them

It does cook my food better ( my old oven if the cookie sheet was too close to the sides then it over cooked there). The stove top is also very precise.. The main thing is the quality. It’s made in the US with quality parts. It’s a work horse.

My $850 Samsung does a great job.
I cook for huge crowds and bake tons.
Unless you have the extra money to spare it’s really not worth it.

Do you mean a wall oven or do you mean a stove that has a wall oven.
I remodeled relatively recently and bought what I would consider to be middle of the range appliances - e.g. Bosh versus Gaggenau.
In my experience based on reliability and features, there is a difference between a $700 stove or oven and a "mid range stove"l
For example, you would want a convection oven because it provides better and more even cooking especially for baking. There is a difference between a "true" convection oven which has a third heating element and a fake one which merely has a fan that theoretically blow hot air around. This is an example.
In general a more expensive brand will also have other features that might be useful and in general be more highly rated in terms of reliability. For example GE Profile is generally more highly rated than Whirlpool.
My kitchen has a separate wall oven and cooktop so I don't know if this is relevant to you. I did buy a Bosch Benchmark wall oven which was more than $2000 because I specifically wanted a side opening oven because it was more functional ergonomically. Instead of loading heavy items from the side I could stand directly in front of the oven.

Does it have a Shabbos mode? I'm in the market for a new stove but I really need one I could use on Yom tov.

I recently put in new kitchen appliances. We went with the GE cafe line.
The ovens are absolutely amazing.
They have the pull out rack.
The bottom is flat so it’s easy to clean.
The baking in it in much better then my old GE basic oven.
It has air fry.
You can “grill” steak in to to a perfect medium rare or however you like it.
It’s not as expensive as Viking or the like but it’s definitely much better than the basic lines.
It has a great shabbos/yom tov mode that (according to some) you can adjust the temp on yom tov.

Thanks for this! What's the price range on the cafe line?
