My just turned 7 year old DD is a little beyond her years. She told me she dreamt last night about our baby (I'm in my eighth month now) that it was born and it was a ------ (boy/girl- she was right about the gender but only I and the tech know, not even DH!) and it's name was ----- (this name is first on our list that she never saw and is not even a popular name, I just mentioned it to my DH last week!) She also went on to say that she also was married to the boy that she talks about all the time that she wants to marry (she met him when she was 5) and she also had a baby girl named ----, I will have to write it down to see if that comes true (that she has a girl first and uses that name!)

The thing is, especially with the naming part, when I had my DS and he was born early and in the NICU, we only called him Tzaddikel until his bris 5 months later. There were 2 people (non-Jewish) that suggested names for him or just called him their picked out name and they were variations of the name we wanted to call him (we call him Koby but his name is Yaakov and they had said, Jacob (she was American), Yakob (she was Polish). Now I know Hashem gives ruach hakodesh to the mother/father for the right name but did Hashem give these other people the same? And now my daughter?

Strange thing is, I have a tendency to dream and it comes true, it happened before my wedding and it was uncanny who exact it was. I wonder now if my daughter does the same thing. Maybe she will even marry this boy who she talks about.

Wow, so fascinating.
Children are really something.

(Like the time my son told me I had a baby in my stomach at age 2- without knowing anything about it, without even knowing the concept of babies growing in a mother's stomach.)

Children are more open to their ruach hakodesh than adults are. I would be willing to bet that everything in that dream comes true. Most people (but maybe not all?) who have navuah dreams see themselves (from outside their bodies) in the dreams that are prophecies and are inside their bodies when they are having regular dreams.

If you believe her dreams then she will continue having them. If you encourage her to stop talking about them they will stop.

When I was younger I used to have dreams of my family members that passed. It actually really scared me. I was too young to appreciate it-7,8,9... I had dreams of my grandparents...vivid dreams that I still remember to this day. Unfortunatly, I havn't had one of these dreams in a while. This is something that "runs" in my family. It really is amazing.
