so my BIL is getting married soon iyh and my MIL wants to pay for my dress.. she keeps on sending links with dresses that she like and maybe I should get it.. but she has such a horrible taste if I may say it.. how can I just tell her that?? Without getting her insulted here...

You don't tell her you don't like her taste. You tell her what dress you found and how much it costs. If it's conditional on being a dress of her choosing, just say no thank you. Blame it on your being picky. Not her being of bad taste.
