My quick and easy go-to salad is shredded pieces of purple cabbage mixed with cranberries and sesame seeds and basic vinegar based dressing.

I don't usually measure it because I'm making it on shabbos but I do roughly 1/3 my cup vinegar, nearly the same in oil then add some sugar and salt. I mix it in a plastic cup then pour it over the salad. Btw I forgot that toasted slivered almonds are also really good with it (I have too many people in my family who won't touch nuts that I usually always leave it out)
mmm rutabaga, I like the look of your salads, I'm going to have to try them...

I make a red cabbage and tuna salad. Add a little mayo, salt and pepper to taste and garnish with slivers of green onions and toasted pumpkin seeds for crunch.
