Any easy ways to make this? I don't know how to check cabbage and deal with it. Any ideas?

Make unstuffed to use shredded cabbage, etc. or they sell in the Jewish supermarkets checked cabbage, frozen

Freeze the cabbage before checking and preparing. It makes it easier to rinse off any bugs and more pliable for easy stuffing.

I buy checked cabbage leaves. Most kosher grocery stores sell them.
Unstuffed cabbage is just not the same. Can't be compared to regular stuffed cabbage.

I figured once I spend the $ on checked leaves I may as well buy readymade stuffed cabbage

Readymade stuffed cabbage is probably 3 times the price then checked leaves + the meat.
