Did anyone get the stimulus check? Should I be worried if I did not? We filed our taxes for 2018...

Does the IRS have your direct deposit information?

I saw something that on April 17 you will be able to track the money (either deposit or check)

Can someone explain why they’re basing this on our tax returns? If we were still making what we claimed on our tax returns, we wouldn’t need the money! The problem is we’re not making that money anymore! But we don’t qualify for the stimulus checks 🤔

I am in the process of filing my 2018 and 2019 returns (I know I’m late). Will I still get my check after I file?

Because supposedly someone maybe $150,000 a year has more reserves than someone making $15,000 a year.

Maybe this will teach people with high incomes not to spend it all.

We do not live luxuriously in any way. Money is tight. Even at 150k. Maybe it’s just in the frum world.

Yeah, basing it on our prior incomes is really kind of defeating the entire purpose.

The ones who make 15k have no concept of what 150k means. It sounds like riches and jewels, mansions and pools.

You can collect unemployment with the $600 weekly bonus. That's close to $100,000 annualized with 2 people working. You have access to credit that poor people don't. Sell things. $1200 is needed more by the poor .

Where do you live? We’re only getting 700.

It depends on your income. Many people are making more than their salary with the
$600 weekly bonus.

Up until what income should they keep giving the stimulus checks? Or should they also give the guy earning seven figures a year.

The guy making seven figures, or the guy who used to make seven figures?

Exactly. Isn’t the point that people lost their jobs or businesses and now need money? It should go to everyone on unemployment.
