Anyone have a recipe for duck sauce? I forgot to buy when I was last in America and I have a few things I would like to make that call for it! TIA.

I do. you need apricot jam or jelly, though.

I often swap a mixture of apricot jam and ketchup for duck sauce- works just fine.

Can I have it? Apricot jam is available here. In fact, there are about 150 types of jam on the kosher list....but no canned vegetables and hardly any canned fruits. Rolling Eyes I still have some vinegar too, although that's another thing I forgot to buy in America.

The jam I have has hardly any pieces.

Thanks for the recipe, CM. I don't have cider vinegar, so I tried Defy and Lani's idea and added some white vinegar and water. It came out pretty good, but not quite duck sauce. However, dh didn't notice the difference, so it was a success.

I buy the cheapo apricot jam, put it into my KitchenAide bowl with the whisk attachment and add some soy sauce, black pepper, garlic powder and paprika.

Everyone loves it.

you have to whisk it. I make salad dressings with jam, too. it totally blends with the liquid.
