My student is special ed. We keep finding nosh in his briefcase, ok this is it the kid is not allowed to much sugar but yesterday we found a therapists item in his briefcase. Any idea what this means? The child is semi autistic and adhd and also has delays in learning. Wwyd?

He might have a compulsive issue in addition to his other diagnoses. This should be raised with his therapist/case manager, etc.

I also have this issue. My problem is that my student keeps on taking food from the school like a bag of 10 apples, or a bag of rice cake, and I'm concerned if she is getting an adequate amount of food at home don't know how to deal with that

I just finished working with a student like this. He is on the spectrum and as WhatFor said, he also had obsessive compulsive issues as well (would steal/hoard items).
We had help from a behaviorist to create a behavior intervention plan to address the stealing and hoarding. It made a huge positive difference.
Is the student adopted from a country where he may have been neglected?
