I have miniature garbage cans where you step on bottom and lid goes up ... used them for diapers also when I had babies ... good for the cover and to keep smell inside and separate and away from the kitchen ... and you definitely need to wrap those things up in toilet paper or the wrappers they come in ... heck ... I don't even wanna see my own ...

Yeah, I totally agree... now imagine finding someone else's in a surprising location!
Justanotherm-how did you react to that?

okay this is the deal ... has anybody ever cleaned out a sewer drain ... please, please, please, do not ever flush down the toilet ... you are messing up the pipes and yes they do get stuck ... just not necessarily when you flush ... that and roots are the #1 toilet clog ups and sewer back ups ... and from experience it is a major _ _ _ _y job ...

I would always rather hide a used, tissue wrapped pad or tampon under my shirt and rush to the kitchen where I am sure to find a trash can than risk ruining someone's pipes or even have them clog while I'm in the bathroom. That is surely the most embarr assing thing ever!

Yeah clogging someone's pipes would be cruel , and very expensive to fix.... Now imagine you do that to someone who only has one bathroom in the apartment . I grew up in a family of five people with ONE bathroom-not easy.

I discovered OB tampons, they are just the piece themselves no insert thing, a bit gross but you get used to it. they are wrapped in a thin plastic and are tiny you can shove them anywhere. The wrapper makes virtually no noise and all your left with is a tiny wrapper you can keep in your hand and throw out.

Quote: | What did you all do when you were in school. My school had NO gargabe in the toilets, only outside by the sinks where tons of girls were hanging around. There was no way I could walk out with a pad from the toilet and dump it in the outside wastebasket in front of their eyes
What I did is I asked the teacher during class time permission to go out. At that time time the bathrooms are empty so I had my privacy. |
Did we go to the same school?? I remember always thinking "am I the only one that uses pads here?!? what in the world do all the other girls do???" I usually tried wearing skirts with pockets and would save them in there till I got home. uch!!

hey no more gross than anything else you do with your own bodies ... and ob works better for me ... my dds have the tampax that come in green and yellow paper - must admit it does look like candy ...

I either stick it in my waistband, or sleeve and go quickly. However, if wearing 3/4 sleeves....

I was always wondering if I'm the only one in my class having periods.
we did have one girl that would hold the pad tightly in her hands and it was like soooooo obvious

there is a trick someone told me for when you won't be home and you will need to change your pad. before you leave your house, you can put on two pads one on top of the other and when you need to change it, you just pull off the top one and there is a fresh one in place.
no need to worry how to hide a clean pad so that nobody should see you bringing it in the bathroom.

I also do the trick with one on top of the other. Also, you can put a pad in between your tights and underwear (if tight- you do not want it sliding down) or in the underwear itself (in the front).

ewww? ahem... and what about the rest of what you flush down the toilet?
I flush tampons down the toilet. Haven't had a blocked pipe yet.
