Does anyone have the pastrami salmon recipe from Binah? Or have any idea which issue it was in? How would I be able to find that out?

a recipe for that was posted in Mishpacha a few years ago. It is actually a favorite of mine and I saved it. It is only called pastrami because of the spices that you pack on the salmon like you would a real pastrami. No meat and fished mixed together Smile

Pastrami Flavored Salmon

3/4 tsp coarse salt
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp pepper
3/4 tsp dried ginger
3/4 tsp dried coriander
less than 1/4 tsp allspice
3/4 T brown sugar

Mix all spices together. Brush 6-8 pieces of filleted salmon with 1 tsp olive oil and smear each piece with the spice mixture, rubbing it in well. Place salmon in a pan, cover and refrigerate 15 min. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350/180 degrees and then bake for 10-15 min and then broil for 10 min. Serve warm, not hot.

It has quite a kick to it but is really tasty. You could lower the pepper a little according to taste. I found that any thicker piece of salmon I had to cook longer than stated.
