You know the salmon recipe that you boil it in water, sugar, lemon juice, bay leaves, onions...? Would it work to freeze the salmon after cooking?

How long? I like to cook for 2-3 Shabbosim at a time and freeze (things like potato kugel, challah etc) I freeze my gefilte fish and it works fine. I could keep salmon in the fridge for 2-3 weeks?

The sweet and sour salmon, also known as marinated salmon, should be perfect in the fridge for at least 2 weeks. I like to make it for Yom Tov so that I don't need to cook fish again before the second days. I've only ever left it for 2 weeks so can't guarantee more then that. Hopefully someone else will pipe in with a more exact figure.

It lasts in the fridge for up to 14 days (so says the recipe I use)
IIRC my mother froze it once and it really was not bad defrosted...tasted like regular defrosted cooked salmon, heat it up in a pot same as if cooking it and voila!

I think you can choose to freez it, it might taste fishy after being defrosted.
