my kids are so picky their main fare is hot dogs, sandwhiches or pizza with strips of vegetables but every once in awhile I get inspired.

Today is cheese burekas or/and tuna burgers and c.v. (cut vegis)
Tomorrow is IY"H: lasagne and c.v.
Thursday is IY"H: quiche and c.v. (read: probably sandwiches or pizza for everyone else but me)

Too rainy to bbq on sunday so we ate leftovers. Today, pasta with pesto.

I'm going to the Retreat till Sunday, so the fam is on their own; the fridge has hotdogs, chicken cutlets, etc., s I hope they won't complain.

I've been freezing food for postbaby this week.

Sunday: had a BBQ
Monday: leftovers from BBQ (made one tray oven sesame chicken, one tray duck sauce chicken, and one baked ziti for the freezer)
Tuesday: cauliflower soup, pasta florentine (from quick and kosher) (made double soup and sauce to freeze)
Wednesday: tacos (also making bolognese sauce and sweet and sour meatballs to freeze)
Thursday: veg soup, tuna patties, maybe creamy fettucine (youngmommy's recipe) (making big veg soup, double patties, BIG chicken soup to freeze in portions and triple portion of stirfried veggie sauce for Shabbos fish to freeze)

Whew! I'm getting tired just looking at that! I hope I manage all of it!

I see no one does this when I go away ...

Anyway, about an hour after I came back from the Retreat, my family asked me "what's for dinner".

So I defrosted meatloaf, put up the rice steamer, and cut a salad.

One night, dd broiled salmon & made tri colored couscous.

Between the above and leftover chicken from Shabbos, that was the entire week of dinner !!

Well, with no power, we ended up lighting our stove by match and attempting to warm up shabbos food on the stove. Didn't work too well.

Power is still out, so who knows what tonight's supper will be?
