Can someone tell me how you'd make tuna salad without using mayo? I was thinking of using techina but wasn't sure if it would taste all right.

Growing up here in Israel, my mother made yummy tuna salad with gvina 9% levana and added whatever: onion, crisp green apple (!), celery etc. Delicious and less fat.

I do tuna
oil
thinly sliced onions
dash of black pepper
a spritz of lemon juice.
I just use the can of tuna in oil and don't drain all of it. I personally don't go for the taste but my cleaning lady made it for my kids and they love it so now I make it for them.

This is a large recipe & I have never halved it etc..
5 cans tuna (you can subsitute 1 15 oz. canned salmon & 2 cans tuna
2 hard boiled eggs
2 carrots
2 celery
1 onion
Mix everything in the food processor.
I love the taste & it does keep well in the fridge if you have any left over!!!!

Plenty of times I have used salad dressing. Anything from ranch to raspberry ving. depending on what else I am throwing in the recipe.
