I want to start eating a salad a day. I dislike tomatoes and prefer it should be parve , so no cheese or chicken in the salad. Can you help with recipes for some basic salads? TIA

What are your favorite dressings? Post them here and we'll try to add more similar ones. Make 3 types, store in the fridge, and then you can throw together some veggies and drizzle on ready dressing from fridge.
Start with a base
romaine lettuce
red onion, sliced into thin slivers
carrots, handful shredded from package
cucumbers, diced
red bell pepper, diced or sliced into strips
Add whatever else strikes your fancy on top. Sautéed mushroom. Roasted sweet potato. Hearts of palm. Baby corn. Chickpeas. Lots of colorful peppers. Pickles. Olives.

I just made this for lunch today and was coming on here to post.
Skip the sugar. Always skip sugar in dressing. If you really want replace with some honey/ maple syrup.

Thanks. Re the bolded, I don’t know. Never grew up with anything more than Israeli salad. I guess lettuce was too expensive. How about give me salads with dressings that go with it and I’ll let you know which salad is my best?!
