My husband is out and he will pick up some corn syrup so I will make the original "recipe".
Thanks .

The second recipe is yummy too. It comes with honey, sugar, baking chocolate, and rice crispies.

You can melt chocolate and put on top to add an extra yummy taste.

I melt 1/4 stick margerine, 2 bagsful of marshmallows and I add about a cup of peanut butter. After it all melts, shut off the flame and to that add about 10 cups of rice krispies!
If you don't want margerine it will also work with a small amount of oil.

I use these ingredients but I put the first 3 in the 9x13 pan until they are melted and then mix in the rice crispies. This way you don't dirty a pot!

As for the chocolate, either I mix chocolate chips in with the PB, sugar and corn syrup - but towards the end of the melting or after I mix the ingredients with the rice crispies, I put the choc chips on top, put it back in the oven for 2 minutes and then spread them.

you never have to add the extra calories and taste Puke of margarine ... just put fluff & the other stuff into the microwave ... then mix in the rice krispies ...

I try to avoid using margerine but sometimes I think the recipe needs it to give a certain texture! When I make cookies I always substitute oil for margerine. But I do find some yeast cakes will stay fresher with m, so I do half and half....

No wonder you are so adamantly against margerine! ( Puke )
I know that some ppl avoid it and rightfully so. I wonder if every recipe with margerine can be substituted! Maybe I should start a thread about that.....
