Although I've been making Pesach for over 16 years, I bought a metal oven insert for the first time this year. I'm really not liking it. Besides the fact that it's taking up precious oven space so I can't bake four pans at a time, I'm finding that the food is taking forever to bake. Is that typical? Should I be baking at a higher temperature? Any tips?

Yes an oven insert will affect the way the oven heats. You need to get an oven thermometer so you can tell what's going on in there.
