Please walk me through. I can put oven racks in a garbage bag with ammonia, for an easy cleaning, right? What about stove grates?
How long should I keep them with ammonia?
Signed,
Scared of self-cleaning my oven, so now have to go the more complicated way :bigcry:

This method is for stove grates.
I've never heard it being done for oven racks, but maybe? They are different materials.

I was scared to self-clean too, but after some reassurance from friends who have done it, I did it and it was fine. Just be home, open a door or window, and tell Hashem it's l-chavod chag

Thanks.
About how much ammonia do I need for stove grates? Turns out, I don't have much left and wanted to leave them overnight in the garbage bag.
