The art of making really good vegetable soup consists of the following steps:

-combining vegetables that you like to eat
-adding the spices that you like
-blending or not blending depending on your preference.

When people provide you with their "delicious vegetable soup recipe" they are informing you which vegetables and spices they like, and whether or not they like their soup blended. The option of adding kreplach, knaidlach, mandelach etc. is also available.

HENCE- MY DELICIOUS VEGETABLE SOUP RECIPE
I like butternut squash soup, (combined with sweet potato, carrot, onion and celery)
I like to add curry and cumin to my soup.
I would like to blend it but don't bother and instead just squish the soft vegetables with the ladle.
And I like to sprinkle mandelach on my soup.
And I serve it with a spoonful of kamut ditalini noodles.

YUMMY! ENJOY!

I always start with boiling water and adding either yellow or green (or both) split peas. Once they have split, I put in carrots, onion, zuchinni, potato, sweet potato, parsnip, celery, and a bag of frozen vegetables. If I don't have one of the vegetables handy, I just skip it. I cook it on a medium flame for a long time - I put in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Usually I put the vegetables in whole (easier) and they fall apart into small pieces anyway. I add more water for a thinner soup, less for a thicker soup. It always comes out different (because I never put in the exact same amount of anything) and it is always finished to the last drop. Everyone loves it!

Actually I jsut made a yummy vegetable soup that my whole family looooves

I blend carrots, parsnips (u should know parsnips add a GREAT vegetable taste to any soup), petrishka, onions, 2 whole garlic cloves (which I take out after cooking)

I saute' them with a little bit of oil, it's up to u, according to ur diet to add how much oil u want.

then I fill the pot with water, slice or cube celery and some leftover carrots.

I put the petrishka leaves into a meshbag/cooking bag it adds great flavor.

15 minutes b4 it's done cooking I throw in a packet of minestrome soup mix,

salt and white pepper!!!

a soup needs to have the crunch of the vegetables, combined with the grated veggies...

It's really not so fatening, depending on how much oil u use!
