What to do with all the meat?
It seems like such a waste!
Freezing is not really an option...

Why is freezing not an option. I made all side dishes and salads parve and I am freezing the main.

I was wondering the same thing. I made a very small cholent but we were too full/hot to eat much so I froze the leftovers! I'm curious to see if it will be edible because its something you always hear you can't do but nobody I know has ever tried !

I made just barely enough so I wouldnt have leftovers. my only leftovers that are actually fleishig are some chicken broth, which I plan on freezing...

Cause we're moving in a week and so freezing doesnt help. Also, I made the patatoes with the chicken and I dont think they'll freeze very well. We also have ate roastbeef (from a packet, like coldcuts) and I have no idea if this freezes well.

the meat will freeze fine. You can freeze things and give them away. Little kids (under gil chinuch) can eat fleishigs, too.

Thanks, we're still sticking around for a bit longer, just not in our own apartment any more.
Honestly, I tried something new and it wasnt that great. It's not really something I'd want to give away. I was thinkin of giving it to my dd, she is a big eater, but she doesnt eat that much.

I am not bragging but for the first time since Shana Rishona I made exactly the right amount of chicken and I have 0 leftovers. We had guests Friday night too. I made everything else pareve (I usually do) and cooked extra fish on purpose. The only thing really left over is some veggies which I will serve witht he fish for DH's dinner one night this week.

No leftovers here - for the firs time ever I made the right amount! I agree, freeze the meat. And, ask your LOR if you can give your little one the meat, some say you can't.

froze my soup and I'll take it out one week when there are no guests.
I had 3 pieces of white chicken left. Froze it and I'll feed it to my kids one night or dice it into a salad for us. I hate defrosted cooked chicken.
Froze my fried fish.
Everything else, gets dumped.

I made moussaka, which I am hoping will freeze well. (no white sauce...just eggplant and meat) I can serve it for supper one night.

Everything was pareve except the chicken, we have four pieces left over. Dd's dog is lucky this week, she will get them today for lunch and supper! And I hope that dog likes the sauce too!

Everything was parve, as usual, besides the chicken. I got stuck on that because 2 of my kids ended up not being home for Shabbat. I had bought 1 whole chicken and some drumsticks. I had 6-8 drumsticks left so I froze them - they will be very good to eat later on. No waste BH.

I had one third of a small chicken thigh left, because we forgot about it. Froze the soup. We finished the cholent. I so rarely have meat leftovers.

we had a fleishig shalosh seudos to finish up part of it, and dh says I can feed the rest to the kids (under age 3) throughout the week.
