anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use instead of wine or red/white wine vinegar for meat/chicken?

Use a recipe that doesn't call for wine or wine vinegar. There are tons of recipes out there. Or tell us the recipe that you want to use and we can try to think of a substitute.
If someone is allergic to alcohol, are you sure they can't eat something that's been cooked in it? Alcohol burns out of the liquid when it's cooked.

try apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar. the taste won't be exactly the same but it should still be good. even plain white vinegar would work.
